Terms & Conditions

The following outlines all terms and conditions governing registration, payments, withdrawals, and enrollment at Montessori School House, which constitute the complete and binding agreement upon signing.

Registration Fee:

All new applicants must pay a registration fee of $250.00, which is non‑refundable. This is a one‑time fee.

Security Fees:

All security fees are non‑refundable.

Payment of Fees:

With all methods of payment, the fees for the final month of the school year are due at the time of registration or re‑enrollment and are non‑refundable.

Post‑Dated Cheques:

All post‑dated cheques must be dated for the first day of each month and must include the child’s name on each cheque.

Withdrawal Notice:

Written notice of a child’s withdrawal must be received at least 45 days prior to the intended withdrawal date. If such notice is not received, two months of tuition will be withheld.

Refunds and Make‑Up Days:

There are no refunds, credits, or make‑up days for mid‑month withdrawals, holidays, sick days, days missed, or any other reason throughout the school year.

Lump Sum Payments:

There are no refunds on lump sum payments.

Returned Cheques (N.S.F.):

A fee of $35.00 will be levied against all N.S.F. cheques or cheques returned for any reason. Where appropriate replacement cheques or cash are not provided, Montessori School House reserves the right, in its sole and unfettered discretion, to request the withdrawal of the child(ren).

Tax Receipts:

Appropriate tax receipts will be remitted at the end of February each year.

Late Pick‑Up Charge:

A late pick‑up charge of $1.00 per minute will be applied after 6:00 p.m., or at any time a teacher is required to remain beyond established hours to care for a child due to a tardy parent/guardian.

Enrollment Priority:

Parents/guardians of children within the 5‑full‑day program who are returning for another year shall have priority over all other programs offered, as well as over new applicants, until March 30th of each year.

Administration Fees and Cheques Deadline:

If the administration fee(s) and all required post‑dated cheques have not been received by March 30th, new applicants from the waiting list will be processed on a first‑come, first‑served basis. In such cases, any guarantee of placement will be forfeited.

Annual Continuation of Registration:

This registration remains in effect and continues from year to year unless written notice of withdrawal is submitted to the office no later than May 30th of each year.

Binding Agreement:

By signing the registration form, the parent(s)/guardian(s) acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. This is a legal and binding contract between the parent(s)/guardian(s) and Montessori School House. I agree that typing my name in the Parent/Guardian fields on this agreement is the legal equivalent to a handwritten signature.
